Description Diese sehr frühe Automatenfigur, zu der nur wenige vergleichbare Stücke bekannt sind, zeigt eine Vielzahl von letztendlich periodisch ablaufenden Einzelbewegungen: Die Füße imitieren den Gehvorgang (in Wirklichkeit rollt die Figur auf Rädern), die Arme drehen sich, ebenso der Kopf. Besonders erwähnenswert und in Anbetracht des Alters der Figur erstaunlich ist die zusätzliche Bewegung von Mund und Augen. Um die komplizierte Mechanik dieser Bewegung ohne Zerstörung der Figur verstehen zu können, wurden Röntgenaufnahmen von ihr angefertigt.

3D Model
This 3D model of the object was created using photogrammetric techniques with a high level of detail. The web view shows a significantly reduced version in terms of resolution and data volume, created using the Smithsonian's open-source 3Dviewer „Voyager“ of Smithsonian.
